Discover Morocco in this interesting 15 days starting from Tangier and heading to Chefchaouen and Fez, and then to the southeast of Morocco. This kind of tour will allow exploring and experiencing more by visiting many areas and make you feel like you belong to this cultural country. Actually, 15 days tour is giving a chance to explore half of Morocco in a couple of weeks and visit all the imperial cities.

We will visit Fez which one of the most important imperial cities in Morocco and known as the intellectual capital of the country, we will also see Meknes which the ALAOUIT city built by Moulay Ismail. It’s your chance to discover those cultural cities within 15 days and feel like you belong to the country.

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

We will begin this 15 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech by picking you up from the accommodation where you’re staying, or from the airport or seaport if you’re just arriving in Morocco. We will start by visiting the beautiful town of Chaouen, which we will reach by driving through the breathtaking Rif Mountains. Chaouen is a small town situated at the foothill of two mountains, in the middle of agriculture fields. This town is unique for the bright blue color that paints all of its houses and buildings, which creates an aesthetically pleasing contrast against white painted walls. We will have dinner and spend the night at a traditional Riad in Chaouen.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Fez

After having breakfast and a final little tour of the city, we will drive to the imperial city of Fez, which is one of the most important destinations in Morocco. Being a religious and spiritual city, it is considered the cultural capital of the country. We will reach Fez in the early evening, which would allow you to catch a glimpse of this magnificent city, from the top of a hill.

Day 3: Fez – Volubilis- Meknes – Azrou – Midelt (Middle Atlas)

You will spend the morning exploring the city of Fez. Fez is a city mostly known for its magical old medina and important historical monuments, which you will get to discover during your stay here. After we’re done with that, we will have lunch then head to the city of Volubilis, where you will witness a city of ancient ruins left by the Great Roman Empire. We will then move to Meknes city, in which we will get a guided tour of the most important monuments of the city, including the tomb of Moulay Ismail, the Lehdim square, Bab Mansour…etc. Finally, we will continue driving to our last destination of the day, the town of Midelt, also known as the gateway to the Atlas region.  

Day 04.-Midelt (Middle Atlas) – Errachidia – Merzouga

We will start our Sahara desert tour by leaving the town of Midelt to start driving towards the South. Our first stop along the way is the Cedar forest of Azrou, then we will cross the valley of Ziz with its fascinating landscapes, to finally arrive at the city of Erfoud in the early evening. You will watch the stunning sunset from the top of Borj Est Tower, which will allow you to get a panoramic view of the entire city. Then we will continue our journey to the dunes of Erg Chebbi at Merzouga town. We will spend the night at a traditional Riad in the town.

Day 5: Erg Chebbi,(Merzouga)

After having breakfast at the Riad, we will start exploring the desert, through tracks that will lead us to the two oases that exist at Merzouga. Then after visiting a Nomad family in their traditional tents, we will head to the village of Khamlia. Khamlia is a traditional village populated mostly by indigenous tribes. We will pay a visit to the mines of Mifiss, the desert plateau and the oasis of Tassardmine before heading back to our hotel in the afternoon. Finally, we will embark on the back of camels that will take us to the desert camp where we will spend the night. You will watch a breathtaking sunset over the dunes, then enjoy an unforgettable night in the middle of the desert, in a Nomad style tent.

Day 6: Erg Chebbi (Merzouga) -Nomadas- Rissani – Merzouga

The next day, we will leave the desert camp and head to the Taouz location, where you can discover some primitive carvings and engravings. We will continue driving to Rissani city, previously known as Sijilmassa, which was the most important caravan route for trade between merchants from Morocco and those from Mali and Nigeria. For lunch, you will try the dish that the area is most known for Berber pizza. After that, we will make one last stop of the day at the fossil quarry, then we will return to our accommodation in Merzouga.

Day 7: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

We will start our day by driving to Tinghir city, in order to pay a visit to the ancient watering system, also known as the “Fougartas”. Then we will explore the impressive palm groves of the area. We will continue our journey to the breathtaking gorges of Todra. Then after having lunch there, we will drive through what’s remaining of Todra and then Boumalne Dades, until finally arriving the gorges of Dades. This location offers spectacular landscapes of rock formations, caused because of erosion over time from the river of Dades. We will have dinner and spend the night in Dades.

Day 8: Dades Gorges- Boutaghrar- Skoura -Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we will leave Dades in the direction of the Valley of Roses, then the Boutghrart village. We will stop to enjoy a cup of traditional mint tea with a local Berber family, then we will continue driving through the road of the Thousand Kasbahs. On the way, we will meet many important landscapes worth stopping at, such as Kasbahs, unique rock formations and valleys, and caves that are still to this day inhabited by Nomad locals. We will reach the village of Skoura, from which we will take back the main road to get the city of Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco for being home the largest film studios of the country. We will have dinner and spend the night in Ouarzazate.

Day 9: Ouarzazate – Telouet – Marrakech

We will start our tour from Tangier to Marrakech by exploring the magnificent Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, which is a recognized UNESCO world heritage site, and the filming set for many important international movies such as The Mummy, Laurence of Arabia… etc. After that, through crossing the Ounila Valley, we will visit another spectacular Kasbah, the Kasbah of Talouet. Finally, we will head straight to the city of Marrakech, driving through the breathtaking Tizin Tichka mountain pass, enjoying magnificent views of the High Atlas Mountains. We will spend the night at a traditional Riad in Marrakech. 

Day 10: Marrakech – Marrakech

After breakfast at the Riad, you will begin your exploration of the red city, Marrakech. This city is home to Jamaa´ El Fna, the busiest and biggest square in North Africa that holds many traditional artisanal sellers and merchants. Marrakech has many other jewels to offer, that you will, of course, get to visit, such as the Majorelle and the Menara gardens, the Saadies tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Minaret and any more. Finally, you will have dinner and spend the night in Marrakech.

Day 11: Marrakech – Essaouira

You will spend your last moments in Marrakech walking through the modern part of the city. Then after having lunch, we will leave it in order to get to the beautiful city of Essaouira. Essaouira, previously called Mogador, is a small coastal city in the south containing a beach of more than 11 kilometers of length. We will have dinner and spend the night at Essaouira.

Day 12: Essaouira

There’s a lot of activities that you can do during your stay in Essaouira, like visiting the Wood Crafts Museum or getting a panoramic view from the old watchtower at the port. You may also pass through the Puerta de la Marina Gate, which connects the port with the rest of the city, or you can watch a fish auction taking place in the port. However, perhaps the most interesting part about Essaouira would be its old Medina, with narrow alleyways filled with artisanal products displayed for sale. The mix of all the different kinds of craftsmanship gives a unique vibe straight out of a fairytale. Outside the medina, in the upper part of the city, you will find many cannons remaining from the 16th and 17th centuries, great for photographs. 

Day 13: Essaouira – Safi – Rabat

After breakfast, we will start our road trip heading to Rabat, the capital of the country.

Day 14: Rabat – Larache – Asilah

We will have breakfast in Rabat, then start driving towards Assilah, a small coastal city considered to be a masterpiece of Spanish-Morisco architecture. This is because the city was formerly under the Spanish protectorate, which left its impact on the general vibe of the city. Assilah is surrounded by a protective rampart, which contrasts beautifully with its white and blue painted buildings. Finally, we will have dinner and spend the night in a local hotel.

Day 15: Asilah – Tangier 

Your tour from Tangier to Marrakech ends here, after having breakfast. Your transfer to Tangier will be arranged.
